Margarine “Reen” Bazile Charles, age 76, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Friday, December 10, 2021. She was a native of Vacherie, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Margarine was a 1965 graduate of Magnolia High School in St. James Parish. She was a retired Dietary Technician of Ochsner Foundation Hospital. Margarine was also owner/operator of Rene’s Daycare, and caregiver to many of her family members. Loving mother of Stephanie Bazile (Carl), Joanna (Lenny) Brown, and the late Wendell (Monique) Bazile. Beloved daughter of the late Elvin Bazile, Sr. and Joann Bazile Thomas. Granddaughter of the late Joseph and Elvira Jackson. Sister of Rev. Dr. Elvin Bazile. Jr., Sterling Smith, Joe Thomas, Jr., Ronald Thomas, Horace Thomas and the late Lawrence Bazile, Clarence Bazile, Willie Thomas, Marvelyn Bazile, Melvina Bazile Weber, Patricia Ann Bazile, and Anna Lee Lewis. Devoted aunt of Orlando Bazile. Margarine is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives, and friends of the family, also pastor, officers and members of New Zion Baptist Church, Second Zion Baptist Church, Providence Missionary Baptist Church, Morning Star Baptist Church, Christian Congregational Baptist Church, Bell Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of Jefferson Parish Sewerage Dept., FCT Tax Services, Wynhoven Health Care, and Veterans Affairs Hospital of New Orleans; members of Marrero Senior Citizens Gill are invited to attend the Homegoing Service at New Zion Baptist Church, 1131 Garden Road, Marrero, LA, on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Austin Dennis-Host Pastor; Pastor Albert Sims-officiating.
