LYNDON BAINE JOHNSON

Lyndon Baine Johnson entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at the age of 59. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Westwego, LA.  Lyndon was a graduate of Alcee’ Fortier High School, and he attended Delgado Community College.  “President”, as he was affectionately known by family and friends was a former employee with Mackie One Roofing as a roofer. Beloved father of Ariel Burns, Lynyadia Johnson-Prosper, and Lynnae Johnson. Son of Lucille Johnson-Sawyer, and the late David Johnson, Jr.  Stepson of Morris H. Sawyer. Grandson of the late Feltus and Elizabeth Cavalier, David Johnson, Sr., and Charity Smith.   Brother of Wanda A. Johnson Rhea of Fredericksburg, VA, Duane Johnson, Loren E. Johnson, and Wayne Johnson. Nephew of the late Oliver Thornton, Argry Smith, and Geraldine Shank. Father in law of Gerald Prosper. Brother in law of Yvette Morrison Johnson, and Command Master Chief Retired Larry D. Rhea, Sr. Fiancé of Donna Mayeaux, also survived by 1 step daughter, 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.   Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of New Orleans Bible Fellowship, Life Center Cathedral Family Life Center, Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Life Center Cathedral Family Life Center 2100 Ames Blvd. Marrero, LA on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church. Pastor Leonard Parker, Jr. officiating / Bishop J. Douglas Wiley Taylor, host pastor. Interment: Providence Memorial Park Cemetery-Metairie, LA.
