Louella Mae Jones-Lewis, age 84, entered into eternal rest at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank on Sunday, October 3, 2021. She was a native of Gretna, LA and a resident of New Orleans, LA. Louella was a 1954 graduate of Joseph S. Clark High School and continued her studies at Delgado Community College in Culinary Arts. She retired after many years of service as a head cook from Our Lady of Wisdom Healthcare. Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Lewis, Sr. Loving mother of Cynthia Lewis-Creighton of Crowley, LA, Lloyd Lewis, Jr., Alex O’Neil Lewis, Denise Lewis-Riley, Iris Lewis (Darryl) Brown, Darrell Lewis, Senior Chief Gail Lewis (Dion) Brown U. S. Navy of Jacksonville, FL, and Ebony Armstead of Atlanta, GA. Grandmother of the late Travis Lewis. Daughter of the late O’Neil Jones, Jr. and Pinkie Donald Jones. Sister of the late Marion J. Wise, James O’Neil Jones, and Charles Jefferson, Jr. Sister-in-law of Ernestine Hogan. Mother-in-law of Caroline Lewis and the late Adolph Creighton. Louella is also survived by her special friend Diann “Dee’ Dee” Horde, 17 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Asbury United Methodist Church and all neighboring churches; Goodwill Industries, U. S.
