LIONEL CARDELL CLOFER

Lionel Cardell Clofer was called home to be with our Heavenly Father on August 1, 2026, at the age of 38. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA. “Biggs“, as he was affectionately known to family and friends, was educated in the Jefferson Parish Public School System and late obtained his GED. He also received certification as a Licensed Pipefitter. Lionel was a fun loving and highly intelligent young man. He took pride in everything he did. His insatiable smile always had the ability to change your mood and brighten up you day. Lionel’s favorite pastimes were composing rap lyrics, writing poetry, and collecting cards. Beloved husband of Sumeika Tanshell Clofer. Devoted father of Mechelle Bunch, Tory Bunch, Taryn Burns, Brayanah Dixon, and Braliyah Dixon. Loving son of Connie (Byron) Osborne and Lionel Hudson (Kim Lewis). Grandson of Willard and Carrie Clofer and the late Paulette Robinson, Theresa Hudson and Wilbert Hudson. Brother of Shane Walker, Graylin Walker, Jr., and Kamiyah Killian. Uncle of Shai Walker. Nephew of Rhondalyn Sayles. Son law of Michelle Grayson. Brother in law of Shandreika Brown Grayson. Godfather of Zhyran Brown. Lionel is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Friday, August 14, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor.
