LINDA MARIE CARTER

Linda Marie Carter entered eternal rest at her residence on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at the age of 71. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Linda was a 1971 graduate of L.W. Higgins High School. She was a retired cafeteria manager with the Jefferson Parish Public School System. Wife of the late Arnold Carter. Devoted mother of Darrick (Racquel) Hamilton, Shawn Bruno, and Precentous (Demond) Carter. Daughter of Emelda Brooks and the late Willie Bruno. Granddaughter of the late Olivia Morton. Sister of Eugene Brooks, Carla (Donald) Robinson, Patricia (Donald) Brown, and Anita (Joseph) Current, and the late Terry Craft and Yolanda Bruno. Linda is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastor, officers, and members of Second Zion Baptist Church, and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Second Zion Baptist Churches, 6520 Second Zion Ave., Marrero, LA on Monday, December 30, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. at the above-named church.
