LILLIE MAE ROBINSON

Lillie Mae Cockerham Robinson entered eternal rest at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank on Monday, January 22, 2024, at the age of 94. She was a native of Magnolia, MS and a resident of Marrero, LA.  Lillie was a retired Nursing Assistant. Beloved wife of the late Louis C. “Baldhead Man” Robinson, Sr.  Devoted mother of Louis C. (Annabell) Robinson, Jr., Larry G. (Vanessa) Robinson, Sharon (Alfred) Hyde, and Shirley A. Robinson. Loving grandmother of LaKeyser, Alfred, Jr. Delvin, Ja’net, Keelen, Ty’ron, Larry, Jr., and Montel. Daughter of the late George Cockerham and Mary Jane Carter Cockerham. Sister of the late Jehu (Martha) Robert (Earlean), Warren (Ada), Dan (Bertha), Rollo (Elenora), Jasper (Mary), Ozell, and Mattie Cockerham, Mary C. (Robert, Sr.) Allen, Georgia (John) Thomas, Ida C. Dial, Zellie C. (Hollis) Stevenson, and Eunice C. (Eddie) Turner. Devoted aunt of Linda Hampton and Barbara Sibley. Godmother of Lucretia and Murphy Clark, Jr.; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Second Zion Baptist Church, Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church of Magnolia, MS, and all neighboring churches; employees of Jefferson Parish School Board, Cox Communications, and Cargill Industries are invited to attend the Homegoing Service at Second Zion Baptist Church, 6520 Second Zion Ave., Marrero, LA on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Pastor James Nelson Brown, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church. Dismissal Service will be held on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, 1520 Pilgrim Rest Rd., Magnolia, MS at 12noon. Interment: Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church Cemetery- Magnolia, MS. Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA. Assisted by Peoples Undertaking Company of McComb, MS.
