Lillie Mae Hogan Gilson departed this life on Monday, November 1, 2021at the age of 82. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Lillie was a graduate Lord Beaconfield Landry Senior High School Class of 1957. She continued her studies at Straight Business School, where she received her certification in Business Studies. She was a retired employee with Texaco Inc. in the Onshore Division Geological Department as a geological clerk for over 31 years of service. Beloved wife of 59 years to Raymond Joseph Gilson. Beloved mother of Claudine Gilson (Mark) Sinegal of Carrollton,TX and Carla Rene Gilson of Atlanta, GA. Grandchildren, Morgan Rae and William Reed Sinegal of Carrollton, TX. Daughter of the late Elijah and Yolanda Hogan. Sister of the late Elijah Hogan, and Carolyn Hogan. Aunt of Kerry Gray, Juan Gray (LaTrina) of Terry, MS, and Elijah W. Hogan, III (Trey) of Washington, D.C. Devoted cousin of Wanda Hall of Long Beach, CA, Thelma Williams of Boston, MA, and the late Bernice Lawrence of Long Beach, CA. Close friend of Wanda Hawthorne, Sylvia Steward, and Lydia Murray. Godmother of Blanche R. Johnson and Terrel Lynn Gilson. Sister in law of Rena Ventris (Gail), Patricia Thomas, Brenda Marshall (Weldon), Kenneth Gilson, Carolyn Williams (Jimmy), Karen Pierre, Mildred Gilson, Jacqueline Hogan and the late Lawrence A. Gilson, Sr., Albert H. Gilson, Thurman Pierre, and Joyce Gilson, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Asbury United Methodist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Asbury United Methodist Church 2725 Ernest St, New Orleans, LA on Friday, November 5, 2021, at 11:00a.m. Pastor Clifton Conrad, officiating.
