LESLYN DAMARIS ONIKA BARNES

Leslyn Damaris Onika Barnes entered into eternal rest at West Jefferson Medical Center on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at the age of 48. She was a native of Georgetown, Guyana and a resident of Marrero, LA. Leslyn attended Delgado Community College where she majored in nursing. She was employed as an office manager with Angels Family Care. Loving mother of Guyderick Jamal Barnes and A’Leciah Onika Barnes. Beloved daughter of Eloise Barnes and the late Dennis G. Barnes. Sister of Dennis Barnes, Colin Barnes, Glendon Barnes, Denise Barnes Tripp, Deslyn Alexis Allen, Evelyn Anita Joseph, Reba Barnes, and the late Godfrey Barnes and Desmond Barnes. Leslyn is also survived by 2 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Jesus Christ Apostolic Lighthouse Ministries and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Jesus Christ Apostolic Lighthouse Ministries, 1001 Victory Drive Westwego, LA on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 10:30a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church.
