LEOTHA MARIE LEMIEUX JONES

Leotha Marie Lemieux Jones gain her wings at her residence on Friday, July 15, 2022, at the age of 101. She was a native of Vacherie, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. She attended Rosenwald High School in Jacksontown. Miss Lee, was affectionately known by family and friends, was a retired employee with Ed Martin Seafood Factory. Leotha had various hobbies including cooking, painting, embroidery, and decorating various items. Loving wife of 54 1/2 years to the late Lawrence Jones. Devoted mother of Paul L. (Rita) Jones, Sr., of Denver, CO, Ronald Jones, Pernell Jones both of Marrero, LA., William Jones of Florianopolis, Brazile, Sharon Jones Hoffmeister of Gretna, LA, and the late Cleveland, Lawrence, Jr., Florence, and Charles Jones. Daughter of the late Theodore Horace and Josephine Louis Lemieux. Aunt of Dorience Robinson and Loretta B. Williams. Mother-in-law of Sarah Ann Matthews Jones, Dennis Marie Thomas LaGarde, and Henry Frazier, Sr., also survived by 19 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also priest and parishioners of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 455 Ames Blvd., Marrero, LA on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at 10:00a.m.  Father Sidney Speaks, Celebrant.  Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. Recitation of the Rosary at 8:45a.m. Followed by a Tribute.
