LEONARD THOMAS WEEMS, SR.

Leonard Thomas Weems, Sr. entered eternal rest on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at the age of 75. He was a native of Detroit, MI and a resident of Thibodaux, LA. Leonard served his country in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged. He was a former employee with Chalmette Medical Center of Chalmette, LA and McAllen Medical Center of McAllen, TX as a laboratory technician. Beloved husband of Sandra Sargent Weems. Loving father of Jharyd Sidney Weems, Lynette Are’on Weems, Psontia Sharae Fowler, Kimberly Latrice Weems-Thomas, and Leonard Thomas Weems, Jr. Son of the late Sidney Weems, Sr. and Geneva Belle Weems. Brother of Earl Weems, and the late Sidney Weems, Jr., and Donald Weems, also survived by 12 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, in laws, other relatives and friends.
