LEONA MARIE COLEMAN

Leona Marie Coleman entered into eternal rest at her residence on Sunday, July 31, 2022. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Terrytown, LA. Leona was a graduate of L. B. Landry High School. Devoted mother of Edward Barnes, Jr., and Keith Barnes. Daughter of the late Walter and Rosalie Coleman. Granddaughter of the late Ruben and Ora Jackson, Walter and Leona Coleman. Sister of Troy L. Coleman, Amanda Coleman, and Stacy Coleman Lamar. Mother in love of Nikesha Reed. Companion of Charles “ChicK” Stewart, also survived by 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Second Zion Baptist Church, 2nd Good Shepherd Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Second Zion Baptist Church, 6520 Second Zion Ave. Marrero, LA on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Pastor James Nelson Brown Host Pastor / Pastor Melvin Jones, officiating.
