Leon Joseph Douville, Jr., entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at the age of 64. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Marrero, LA Leon was employed with Jefferson Parish as drainage Operator. Devoted father of Leon Delanay, Keion Douville, Shawn (Lauren) Albert, Aristle (Trudi’s) Albert, Vanshawn Delanay, and Sabyre' Douville. Stepfather of Ashanti Magee. Beloved son of the late Leon Joseph Douville, Sr. and Rosalee Douville. Grandson of the late Edward and Gertrude Stewart, and Julie Nelson. Brother of Debra (Andrew, Sr.) James, and Gertrude (Rev. Joseph, Sr.) Hampton, and the late Peggy Williams, and Linda Washington. Uncle of the late Nicole Washington, and Tech. Sgt. Daniel L Douville. Companion of Linda Magee, also survived by 19 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of St. Mark Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at St. Mark Baptist Church, 1929 Huey P. Long Ave. Gretna, LA on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Joseph Hampton, Sr. officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. until service time at the above-named church.
