LEOLA DEVORE HARRISON

Leola DeVore Harrison, age 82, passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, January 18, 2024. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. She was a graduate of L. B. Landry High School. Leola was a retired FEMA Case Manager and a former Customer Service Representative with Cox Communications.  Beloved wife of the late Cleo F. Harrison. Devoted mother of Orlandez (Rochelle) Pierre, Sr., and Toya Harrison; she was also instrumental in the rearing of Kimberli Harrison and Trevor (Kisha) Borden, whom she loved as her children. Daughter of the late Elijah and Ethel DeVore. Loving sister of John Roland (Agatha) DeVore, Donald (Joyce) DeVore, Kenneth (Sherri) DeVore, Sr., Theresa Johnson, Barbara Henderson, and the late Myrtle, Harold, Lloyd, and Ethel DeVore. Also cherishing her memories are 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officer and members of Morning Glory Fellowship Church, Fischer Community Church, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Fischer Community Church, 1737 L. B. Landry Avenue, New Orleans, LA on Saturday February 3, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Pastor James Nelson Brown, host pastor; Bishop Cheryl McBride Brown, officiating.
