Leatrice Denise Hollis entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at the age of 58. She was a native of Marrero, LA and a resident of Kenner, LA. Leatrice was a graduate of John Ehret High School, and she attended UNO and Southern University. She served her country in the U S States Army. Leatrice was employed with St. Charles Parish Housing as an Executive Director. Devoted mother of Wayne Henry, Jr., Lakyia D. Henry, and Olonda Henry. Loving daughter of Patricia (Herbert) James and L. C. Hollis. Sister of Tracy Hollis, Charboni White, Tamara James, Brian Lomax, Kevin Anderson, Raymond Lomax, Fitzgerald Hill, and Herbert Charles. Leatrice is survived by 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Second Zion Baptist Church, St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church 1738 L. B. Landry Ave. New Orleans, LA, on Friday, May 26, 2023, at 11:00a.m. Pastor Norman Francis Host Pastor - Bishop James Nelson Brown officiating. Viewing will be held from 9:00a.m.-10:45a.m. ONLY at the above-named church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA. Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA.
