LANEY MOSES

Laney M. Moses entered peacefully into eternal rest at her residence on Friday, November 7, 2025, at the age of 65. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Westwego, LA. Laney was a 1977 graduate of John Ehret High School and she attended UNO. She graduated in 1979 with a certification in business from Delta Business College. Laney was employed as a Patient Care Technician and formerly employed as an Assistant Manager. She was a devoted Minister, Praise Leader, and Church Secretary at Sword of the Spirit Teaching Center. Beloved wife of Harvard Moses. Loving mother of Faith G. Penton-Battle and Bles Penton. Grandmother of Isaiah Battle. Daughter of the late Lonnie Jenkins and Viola Jenkins. Devoted sister of Dr. Desiree Wilson, Min. Lydia Moll, Apostle P. Jenkins, Dianna Jeantinor-Shepeard, Gregory Jenkins, Brett Jenkins, and the late Darryl K. Jenkins. Laney is also survived by host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Sword of Spirit Teaching Center and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 10:00a.m. Apostle Dr. Patryce S. Jenkins-Allen, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor.
