KIM DAY LEWIS

Kim Day Lewis entered peacefully into eternal rest at her residence on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at the age of 67. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. She was a graduate of John Ehret High School and Meadows-Draughon Business College. Kim retired from Avondale Shipyard after over 30 years as an Executive Assistant. She was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church for 15 years, before joining Regular Baptist Church. Beloved wife of the late Forrest Lewis, Jr. Devoted mother Nekedrea Lewis, Erica LewIs (Corey) Lemieux, and Shannon Lewis (Calvin) Williams. Daughter of the late Herman Day, Sr. and Beulah J. Day. Loving sister of Lionel Day, Roosevelt Day, James Day, JoAnn Day, Elaine Day Williams, and the late Herman Day, Jr. and John Day. Also cherishing her memories are 8 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Regular Baptist Church, St. Paul Missionary Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Regular Baptist Church, 901 5th Street, Gretna, LA on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Pastor T.
