KEVIN PHILLIPS CLAY

Kevin Phillips Clay departed this life at Ochsner Medical Center Main Campus on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the age of 34. He was a native and resident of Marrero, LA. Kevin was a graduate of John Ehret High School and recently completed Coventry Trucking School, where he proudly earned his CDL License. Kevin was also a licensed welder who took pride and joy in all his accomplishments and endeavors. He embraced his renewed path with dedication and drive to create a better life for him and his loved ones. Beloved of Kevin Clay (Gwendolyn Alexander) and Nedra (Charles) Ruffin. Grandson of Rosa Fay Phillips, Lillie Clay, and the late Emmanuel Phillips, Jr. and Clarence Dollis. Loving brother of Kevineka Clay, Kejuann Charles, and Kareshona Larkins. Cherished uncle of Charley Mack. Nephew of Karen Phillips, Lynn Cooper of CA, Chantell Williams, and Kevin (Kim) Phillips. Godson of Yvette Williams and Solomon Doyle. Kevin is also survived by his devoted companion Angel Jones, and his bonus daughter and son, Ca’mani Jones and Antoine Craig, and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Second Zion Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of Jefferson Parish Sheriff Office, United Sites Services, First Step Family Youth and Family Services are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 10:00a.m. Bishop James Nelson Brown, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
