KENNETH ANTHONY USSIN, SR.

Kenneth Anthony Ussin, Sr. entered into eternal rest at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank on Friday, August 21, 2026, at the age of 65. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Kenneth was a graduate of Texas City High School in Texas City, TX and he proudly severed his country in the United States Army. Following his military service, Kenneth was employed for many years in security with HANO and Touro Infirmary /LCMC, from which he retired after many years of dedicated service. He was a die hard New Orleans Saints fan, who cheered for his team with unmatched pride. Loving father of Kenneth Ussin, Jr., Kendrick Ussin, and Anthony Roussell. Cherished grandfather of Kaitlynn, Kenneth III, Keniyha, Kayla, Kiya, Kendrick, Jr., Kennedy, Kristina, Kalise, and Kayln Ussin, Demyriel Jones, Anthony, Jr., Aiden, Amir, and Ace Roussell. Son of the late Sylvester L. Ussin and Myrtle R. Shields. Beloved brother of Wanda Washington, Sandra Ussin, Marie Morris, Terry Ussin, Wade Ussin, Deidra (Norman) Jones, Carol Johnson, Michael Ladd, Selton Ussin, Sr., Syretta Akins, Esther Swan, and the late Lawrence Ussin. Kenneth is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Empowerment Church and neighboring churches; employees of LSU Clinic, Touro, and the Housing Authority of New Orleans (HANO) are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Empowerment Church, 3401 8th Street, Harvey, LA on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Torrey Fingal, officiating.
