Kenaz Maurice Armand went to his eternal home on Monday, June 13, 2022, at the age of 39. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA. Kenaz graduated Louisiana Technical School and later attended Delagdo Community College. Kal, as he was affectionately called by family and friends was employed on the riverfront as a laborer. Loving father of Javonte Brooks. Grandfather of Ja'Kobi Brooks. Devoted son of Silva Brooks Armand, and the late James Kelly Armand, Jr. Grandson of Gladys Armand, and the late Robert Brooks, Sr., Minola Green Brooks, James Kelly Armand, Sr., and Ester Johnson. Brother of Kirk Kristopher Armand, Kendall (Katrina) Armand and the late Kedar Marcus Armand (his twin), and Kimberly Marie Armand. Adopted brother of Desiree' Andrea Black. Uncle of Armand, Kairo K., Kaleb, Kairo M., Kelsalyn, Khloe M., and Aniah S. Nephew of Helen Sanders, Minola Black, Rita Brooks, Gwynn Jackson, Angela Sylvas, and the late Lynn Major. Devoted cousin of Adrienne, Onatha, and Kearston. Godson of John Walker, and the late Arterene “LuLu” Trufant Encalade. Kenaz is survived by 5 adopted children and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Holy Hill Baptist Church, St. Paul Baptist Church, New Zion Baptist Church, Second Zion Baptist Church, and New Home Ministries; employees of CHS Myrtle Grove Grain Elevator, AAA Care, Catholic Charities, and Visiting Angels are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Friday, June 24, 2022, at 11:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above-named parlor.
