KEITH FORBES

Keith Forbes entered eternal rest at his residence on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at the age of 69.  He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA.  He was a former employee of Todd Shipyard and West Jefferson Hospital.  Loving father of the late Daron Keith Forbes.  Beloved son of the late Willie Lee Forbes, Sr., and Augustine Watson Forbes. Brother of Janis Rousell, Deborah (David) Hunter, Linda (Eddie) Smith, Brenda Sumter, Willie, Jr., Donald (Annie Mae), Larry (Gail), Calvin (Elaine), and Alvin (Rita) Forbes, and the late Ronald Forbes. Devoted brother-in-law of Eddie Smith, Sr., and the late Thomas Roussell, Anthony Sumter, and Octavia Forbes. Cousin of Lucretia Faye Duncan. A dedicated hospice nurse, Erica, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.  Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Second Zion Baptist Church, Church Without Walls of Houston, TX, Greater Mount Calvary, Good Hope Baptist Church, and neighboring churches; employees of Brookhollow Christian Academy of Houston, TX, Fed-EX of Houston, TX, Jefferson Parish Recreational Department, Woodmere Daycare Learning Center, and Heart of Hospice doctors and staff are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Davis Mortuary, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.  Bishop James Nelson Brown officiating.  Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until 10:00a.m.  Interment:  Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA.  To view and sign the guestbook, please go to www.davismortuaryservice.com.
