KEIDRICK AHMOND SHORTY, JR.

Keidrick Ahmond Shorty, Jr. departed this life at Children’s Hospital on Monday, June 28, 2021 at the age 11. He was a native of Gretna, LA and a resident of Terrytown, LA.  Keidrick was a student at Young Audiences Charter School. He was an active football player, who played for Saints Elite, New Orleans Dolphins and Harrell Playground to just name a few. Loving son of Donya King and the late Keidrick A. Shorty, Sr. Brother of Kay’Jha Shorty. Beloved grandson of Donald King. Maudess Watson, James Watson, and the late Artemese A. King. Keidrick is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, St. Stephen Missionary Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, 1737 L. B. Landry Ave. New Orleans, LA on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Norman Francis, host pastor; Pastor Nathaniel Jimcoily, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Will be Private. Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA.
