Katherine Ann Cole entered eternal rest on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at the age of 52. She was a native of Marrero, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Katherine was a graduate of John Ehret High School Class of 1991, and she attended Delgado Community College and Dillard University. “Pip,” as she was affectionately known by family and friends, was a former employee with Porter Home Health. Beloved mother of Keyonna B. Sawyer and Keyshawn Payne. Daughter of Nellie Cole Carter. Stepdaughter of Nelson Carter, Sr. Granddaughter of the late Sam, Sr. and Ella Elliott. Sister of Derrick Pace, Sr., Nelson Carter, Jr., Michelle DeMolle, Tammy Pace Davis, and Francheska M. Carter. Niece of the late Sam Elliott, Jr., Bonnette Cole, Sr., William Cole, Kenneth Elliott, Sr., Lupcce Kelly, Julia Martin, and Lessie Heisser, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, of Gretna, and all neighboring churches; employees of Ochsner Kidney Care, Reskin Medical, Nicholls State University, John Ehret High School, Ochsner Home Health, and Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 10:00a.m. Elder Phillip Martin, Sr. of Lexington, N.C., officiating.
