KARE ROGNE

Kare Rogne, age 77, entered into eternal rest at West Jefferson Medical Center on Friday, February 2, 2024. He was a native of Nesbyen, Norway and a resident of Marrero, LA. Kare was a retiree of T. Smith Cooper, where he was employed as a Chief Engineer. He was a member of American Maritime Union. Beloved husband Lydia S. Rogne. Loving father of Anne Bjorg Buttram of Birmingham, AL and Kare Jorge Rogne of Marrero, LA. Son of the late Kari and Jorgen Rogne. Brother of Sjur Rogne and Bjorg Grondahl both of Norway. Also cherishing his memories are 2 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, ohter relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of First English Lutheran Church and neighboring churches; employees of T. Smith Cooper are invited to attend a Memorial Service at First English Lutheran Church, 3701 Cleary Avenue, Metairie, LA on Saturday, March 16, 2024, from 2pm-5pm.
