JULIETTE JOYCELYN IRVIN VICKS

Juliette Joycelyn Irvin Vicks, age 78, transitioned peacefully into eternal rest on Friday, February 4, 2022, at 8:30 pm. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Bridge City, LA. Juliette was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and Delgado Community College where she received her associates degree. She was a retired Dietary Manager with Magnolia School and a Deaconess at New Jerusalem Baptist Church. Devoted wife of the late Bertrand C. Vicks, Sr. Beloved mother of Bertrand C. Vicks, Sandra Vicks (Jerome) Keller, Deitrich Vicks, Antoinette Vicks (Willie). Daughter of the late Russell Irvin and Genevia Adams. Sister of Alton (Doris) Irvin, Algy (Mary) Irvin, Carl (Velez) Irvin, Michael (Brenda) Spears, Christopher Spears, and Antonia (Julius) Jackson. Grandmother of the late Vincent Barthelomew, Jr. Juliette is also survived by16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of New Jerusalem Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; faculty and staff of Magnolia School; employees at East Jefferson General Hospital, Kindheart Medical, Aspen Pharmacy, Candyland Nursery, and Southeast PME are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 414 Westwego Ave., Bridge City, LA on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above-named church.
