JULES BYES

Jules Byes went home to be with the Lord at his residence on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at the age of 57. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA. Jules was a graduate of O. P. Walker High School Class of 1982, and Southern University in Baton Rouge. “Big Boo”, as he was affectionately called by family and friends, was employed with Foster Trucking, Beverly Trucking of Bridge City, and RTA. Loving husband of Sabina Clark Byes. Stepfather of Raquel Scott, Rickey Clark, and Rakeem Johnson. Grandfather of Riley Johnson, and Gabrielle Whitley. Son of the late Cathy Byes, Ernest Jackson, and reared by Albert Brown. Grandson of the late Jules Byes, Ellen Jackson, and Robert Augustine, Sr. Brother of Albert (Denise), Reginald (Shelita), Derrick (Tammy), Kerry (Yolanda), Carl (Marlene), Alvin, and Ernest Cannon, Ronnet, Yashika, Iona (Sidney), Yolanda, Aline (David), Belinda, Denise, Rochelle, and Shalaska. Brother-in-law of Demetriel C. (Larry) Walker, Tanjia C. (David) Berry, Myron P. (Sarletha) Clark, and Kirt (Wanda) Clark, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St., Gretna, LA on Friday, December 30, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above-named parlor.
