JOYCE LORETTA DOTSON

Joyce Loretta Dotson entered peacefully into eternal rest at her residence on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the age of 79. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Joyce was a retired CNA and Physical Therapy Tech. She was a faithful member of White Chapel Baptist Church. Beloved wife of the late Frank Dotson, Sr. Loving mother of Alvin Dotson, Shaun Dotson, Howard Dotson, and the late Frank Dotson, Jr. Devoted partner of Clyde Davis. Daughter of the late J. C. Sartin and Mattie Sartin. Sister of Ruby Mobley and the late Harry Sartin, Andrew “Michael” Sartin, Cerdic Sartin, Lester Mullins, Shirley Sartin, and Angel Mullins. Joyce is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of White Chapel Baptist Church, Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at White Chapel Baptist Church, 1315 Estalote Avenue, Harvey, LA on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Pastor John Mason, Sr., officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time. Interment: Will Be Private.
