Josephine K. Walker entered eternal rest at her daughter’s residence on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at the age of 88. She was a native of Utica, MS and a resident of New Orleans, LA. Josephine was a retired licensed practical nurse with Wynhoven Nursing Home. She was a faithful member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday School Teacher, and a member of Westside Association Ministers Wives. Beloved mother of Nancy Hunter (Terrell) Donald, Julia (Wendell) Harang, and Diane (Jerry) Jackson. Sister of Robert (Alfredia) Pollard, Annie Mae Thompson, and Tina (Sam) Barnes. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Mount Sinai Baptist Church, and neighboring churches are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at Mount Sinai Baptist Church, 1249 LeBoeuf St. New Orleans, LA, on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 10:00am. Pastor Dudley Watson officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery-Westwego, LA.
