Joseph Humphrey, Jr. entered into eternal rest at his residence on Monday, February 2, 2026, at the age of 78. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Joseph served his country as a member of The United States Army for 23 years. He served in Vietnam and received numerous commendation for his bravery including, the Purple Heart, Bronze Star and the Air Medal to just name a few. While in the Army he attended Army Air Assault School and Army Instructor Training Course. Joseph was also a retired Maintenance Worker with the United States Postal Service. Beloved husband of Deborah A. Humphrey. Devoted father of Kirk (Qiana) Gabriel, Jr., Brandice Bonnee, and Queban Humphrey. Cherished grandfather of Asia, Caleb, Ryaan, and Kai Gabriel, and Avery (Analitse) Holden. Great grandfather of Kataleya Marie Holden. Son of the late Joseph Humphrey, Sr. and Corine Bergerone Humphrey. Grandson of the late Theodore and Leah Bergerone. Loving brother of Alvin Humphrey, Edna Mae Humphrey, Sheila Humphrey Silvestrini, and the late Henry Humphrey and Beatrice Humphrey. Joseph is also survived by and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
