JOHN MONROE TAYLOR, JR.

John Monroe “Chubby” Taylor, Jr. entered into eternal rest at his residence on Monday, June 5, 2023, at the age of 56. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Avondale, LA. John was a graduate of L. W. Higgins High School. Devoted father of Bonisha Robertson. Beloved son of Margaret C. Taylor and the late John Monroe Taylor, Sr. Grandson of the late Herman and Katherine Taylor, James and Gladys Carter. Nephew of Martha C. (Johnny) Ware, Wayne Collins, and the late Carolyn Maiden, Josephine Taylor, Mary Freeman, Gustain Liberty, and Herman Taylor, Jr. Godbrother of Stephanie (Lindsay) McPipe, also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of New Sunrise Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Services at New Sunrise Baptist Church 1325 LeBoeuf  St., Gretna, LA., on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 10:00a.m.  Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until the service at the above-named church.  Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery-Westwego, LA.
