JOHN SCOTT, JR.

John “Boo” Scott, Jr., transitioned to his heavenly home on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at the age of 48. He was a native of Harvey, LA and resident of Jefferson, LA. John was a graduate of John Ehret High School and members of Second Highway Baptist Church. Father Kaila Scott of Houston, TX and Khoi Scott of LaPlace, LA, and the late John “Tre” Scott, III. Beloved son of the late John Scott, Sr., and Barbara Scott. Brother of Ellix Fleming of Sacramento, CA, Wayne Jackson, Wayne Fleming, and Donald Paul, Jr., Carlette (Lionel) Durio, April Scott of Houston, TX, Aletha (Patrick) Harris, and Dionne Paul-Bell. Grandson of the late Blaze Hensley, Mable Hensley, Walter Scott, Sr., and Freda Scott. Nephew of the late Patricia Fleming, Laura Hensley, Clarence Paul Scott, and Charles Hensley. John is also survived by his grandson DeMarcus Johnson, Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Temple of Prayer and Praise, 1429 Mansfield St. Marrero, LA. on Friday, February 11, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Dr Diane Hensley officiating.
