JEROME BRUCE BLACKMON, II

Jerome Bruce Blackmon, II, a cook, departed this life on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at the age of 31. He was a native of Marrero, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA. Loving father of Jaidalynn Nicolle Phillips and Jayvin Roy Blackmon.  Beloved son of Jerome Blackmon and Anquanetta Harris. Stepson of Dexter Harris, Sr. Grandson of Larry L. Blackmon, Sr., Mary Shelia Blackmon, and the late George Conner, Sr., Lenora Conner, and Rose Thomas. Devoted brother of Dexter Harris, Jr., Donovan Conner, Darren Harris, Joshua Blackmon, Ja’Ton Blackmon, Demetria, Deja, Destiny, Diamond, and Dariele Harris, Teriyaki Conner, LaQuinta Jones, Brittany and Jai’de Blackmon, Dorian Hettig, and the late Destine Harris. Nephew of the late Barry Conner, Sr., and Michael Conner. Godbrother of the late Nicholas Ratliff, Jr. Jerome is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Evening Star Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Evening Star Missionary Baptist Church, 817 Grefer Avenue, Harvey, LA on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Keith Paul Stewman, officiating.
