JEAN ROBINSON PUGH

Jean Robinson Pugh entered into eternal rest at her residence on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at the age of 80. She was a native and resident of Marrero, LA. Jean was a graduate of Lincoln High School Class of 1961. She was a retired housekeeper with West Jefferson Medical Center. Jean was a faithful member of St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church, where she served with the Ushers Ministry, Senior Missions, and Westside Community Senior Citizens Ministry, just to name a few. Loving mother of Nadine Pugh and Raynette Wilson, and Germain Jefferson whom she loved as a daughter. Grandmother of Denzel and Portia Darangue, Troy Kent, Jr., and Xavier Kent. Daughter of the late Roscoe Robinson and Mamie Robinson. Sister of Johnny Robinson, Sr., Valerie Butler, and the late Lionel, Ras, and Louis Robinson, Sr., and Gloria Lemieux. Aunt of the late Myron Robinson, Sr., Alan Lemieux, Sr., and Troylynn Hobbs. Great aunt of the late Desmone' Robinson. Great great aunt of the late Jamael Gaudet. Former wife of Ivan Pugh. Mother-in-law of Stewart Wilson and Albert Jefferson. Godmother of John Jones. Jean is also survived by her devoted nieces Shantel Coe and Karen Butler and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers and sisters in law, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Mary Baptist Church, Greater Mt. Calvary, and all neighboring churches; employees of Jefferson Parish Public School System, Target, Internal Revenue Service, Caesars Superdome, Eurofins, A1 Electric and People Health are invited to attend the Funeral Service at St. Mary Baptist Church, 6223 6th Ave. Marrero, LA on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Edward Joseph, III officiating.
