Jasmin Arthur Augustus entered eternal rest on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at the age of 50. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Jasmin was educated in the Orleans Parish School System, and he attended Moler Barber College. “Jazzman” “Deedyboe”, as he was affectionately known to family and friends was a packer with Performance Foods Warehouse. Devoted father of Jasmin, Jr., Jada, Joshua, and the late Jarmon. Bonus father of Byronesha, Beloved son of Julian Augustus, Jr. and Doretha Roman Augustus. Grandson of Albert, Sr. and Doretha Roman, Julian, Sr. and Easter Augustus. Great grandson of the late Mathilda Landry Hawkins, Rosa Roman Poree, and Viola Williams. Brother of Julian (JoAnne) Augustus, III. Great nephew of Richard Hawkins, Jr. Godbrother of Edthilda “Tilly” Lewis, Fiancée of Marjara James, also survived by 4 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Holy Anointed House of Prayer, and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Holy Anointed House of Prayer 1447 Senate St. New Orleans, LA on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 10:00 am.
