JAMES WESLEY WILSON

James Wesley Wilson, Sr. entered eternal rest on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at the age of 75. He was a native of Clinton, LA and resident of New Orleans, LA. “Spider or Boo”, as he was affectionately known by family and friends, was a graduate of Walter L. Cohen High School, and he attended Grambling State University. He was a retired employee of Conoco and Avondale Shipyard (Northrop Grumman). James was a member of the Southern Association of Amateur Golfers. Beloved father of Shannon Wilson and James Wesley Wilson, Jr. Devoted son of the late Wesley Young Wilson and Lillie Tapps Wilson. Grandson of the late Ben Wilson, Amy Matthews Wilson, Neal Tapps, and Mary Shannon Tapps.  Brother of the late Willie Henry Wilson. James is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastor, officers, and members of Fischer Community Church, all neighboring churches; members of Southern Association of Amateur Golfers are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Fischer Community Church, 1737 L.B. Landry Ave., New Orleans, LA on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. until service time. Interment: Will be Private.
