James “Pete” Paul Andres, III, age 54, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Monday, May 16, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was a native of Port Arthur, TX and a resident of Harvey, LA. Pete, as he was affectionately known to family and friends, was a 1986 graduate of L. B Landry High School. He continued his studies at Louisiana Technical College, where he earned a degree in Collision Repair Technology in 2006. James was an Auto Mechanic and owner of Pete’s Tire and Auto/Collision Repair Shop. He was previously employed with Barriere Construction, as a construction worker, and as a cook with Baptist Hospital and CoCo’s Restaurant. James was a parishioner of Saint John Bosco Catholic Church and a member of Westbank Steppers. Devoted father of Jahmal Jones, Desentae’ Paul Jones, and Devontae Jones. Grandfather of Tiana Jones and Desentae’ Paul Jones, Jr. Beloved son of Frank Lewis and Gloria Andres. Grandson of the late Ellis Crout, Mae Crout, James Andres, Sr., and Virginia Andres. Brother of Thedrick Andres, Sr. and Kimberly Andres. Loving companion of Ava Mars. Stepfather of Courtney Jones, Keith Mars, and the late Troy Mars. James is also survived by 3 step grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also priest and parishioners of St. John Bosco Catholic Church and all neighboring churches; members of Westbank Steppers are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 230 MONROE STREET GRETNA, LA on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor.
