Jacquencia Bernika Wallace entered peacefully into eternal rest at Ochsner Medical Center Main Campus on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at the age of 34. She was a native of Marrero, LA and a resident of Slidell, LA. Jacquencia was a graduate of John Ehret High School and Dillard University, where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. She was employed as a registered nurse at Greenbriar Community Care Center. Devoted mother of Ja’Mya G. Wallace, Kash C. Howard, and Jarrius “Jarvis” Wallace, her younger brother who she loved as a son, and was instrumental in rearing. Beloved daughter of Leroy Lewis and Harriett Wallace Morris. Stepdaughter of Ralph Morris. Granddaughter of the late Bernice Wallace (John) Booker, Sam Harris, L. V. and Mary Lewis. Great granddaughter of Jerry and Gussie Wallace. Loving sister of Leroy (Raquline) Wallace, Brandon (April) Wallace, Queneshia Wallace, and Javonna Wallace. Niece of Alfred (Ann), Arnold (Karen), Rev. Aubrey, Ray Charles, Samuel, Joseph, Murray, and James Wallace, Willie B. Coster, LouAnna (Tyrone) Alexander, and June Wallace, Levi, Archie, Willie Earl, Josephine and Christine Lewis, Linda Peoples, Dorothy Munson, the late Hattie Lite, and Emmett Wallace. Cousin of the late Byron Wallace and Joseph Skinner. Jacquencia is also survived by her fiancé Shawn Goodman, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Second St. John Baptist, Heavenly Star Missionary Baptist Church, Rock of Ages Missionary Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches; employees of Greenbriar Community Center are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Rock of Ages Missionary Baptist Church, 6533 Acre Road Marero, LA on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Pastor T. A. Ranson Sr; Host. Pastor Aubrey Wallace, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church.
