JACQUELINE KENNEDY

Jacqueline Johnson Kennedy departed this earthly life at Ochsner Medical Center Main Campus on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at the age of 61. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Jacqueline was a 1983 graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. She was a former employee of the federal government and the public school system. Jacqueline was the former president of the Harmony Oaks Community Center, where she was also an assistant. She was an ordained minister and evangelist at the City of Love. Jaqueline will be remembered as a very talkative and outspoken person who loved fashion and sparkling clothes. Devoted mother of Rodney Miller, Jr., Ruffin Johnson, Jr. and Jeremiah Kennedy. Cherished grandmother of Prince Rufshaun Scott. Beloved daughter of James Kennedy, Sr. and Deloris Zeno Kennedy. Loving sister of Latanya Kennedy (Earnest), Tyrone Kennedy (Barbara), Nelson Ward Kennedy, Ulysses Douglas, Jr., and the late Cynthia, James, Jr., Paula, Gregory, Gerald, and Terrence Kennedy. Godmother of Lakisha, Keon, and Delphia. Former wife of the late Ruffin Johnson, Sr. Jacqueline is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Israelite Baptist Church, City of Love and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Israelite Baptist Church, 2100 Martin Luther King Blvd., New Orleans, LA on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church.
