I’yla Batiste, infant daughter of Bryant Batiste and Yondra Batiste, was born on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at 6:14a.m. and returned to the arms of Jesus on the same day. She was the treasured granddaughter of Bridgette Batiste, Willie Godwin, Shaketha Brown and the late Yon Smith and Sandra Lee LaFrance Smith. Cherished niece of Jamia LaFrance, Jamal LaFrance, Yoneisha Smith, Kourtenay Batiste, Willie James Batiste, and DaJon Brown. Her life was a brief gift, that will live in their hearts forever.
