ISAIAH JENKINS

Isaiah Jenkins passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at the age of 85. He was a native of Norway, S. C. and a resident of Harvey, LA. Isaiah was a retired employee for Tom Hicks, Whiteman Towing Company and E.N. Bisso & Son, INC. as a certified derrick operator. He was a member of White Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, where he served on the Deacon Board for many years. Isaiah was a great example of a “Silent Warrior” as he provided Godly wisdom and laughter to all. Beloved husband of Gussie Ruth Craft Jenkins. Loving father of Patrick (Tammy) Jenkin, Patrice (Darrell) Henderson, Phyllis (Patrick) Wright, and Pharalynn (Shean) Brown. Son of the late Josiah Jenkins, Sr. and Louise Patrick Jenkins.  Brother of Lillie Bell Wilson, and the late Jimmy (Ellen) Jenkins Sr., Jessie (Virginia) Jenkins, Joe Wammad (Eva) Jenkins, Daniel (Bertha) Jenkins Sr., Gilbert (Victoria) Jenkins, Nicholas Jenkins, Edward Jenkin, Rosa Lee Frederick, Lewumeshia Stevenson, and Julia Hardwell. Son in-law of the late Graves (Gracie) Craft, Sr.  Brother-in-law of Isaiah Craft, and Delores Jenkins, also survived by 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.  The family extends special thanks to Chunar Robinson and Cherrie Pizani.
