IRVING DWIGHT ROUSSELL

Irving Dwight Roussell entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at the age 61 surrounded by his sisters. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. “Dwight” as he was affectionately known by his family and “Beck” by his friends was employed as a truck driver. Loving father of Trashawn D. Roussell (Cortez) Jones, and Tiesha R. (Leroy) Phoenix. Grandfather of TaNai, Leroy, III, and Teyla. Son of the late Irving and Nellie Roussell. Grandson of the late Myrtle Theodore Porrier. Brother of Sharon Roussell (Michael) Sturgis, Shannon Roussell (Kenneth) Bocage, Shelly Rousell (Raymond) Moore, Shantrice Roussell (Orlon) Joseph, Shawnette Roussell Coleman, and Jean Marigny. Godson of the late Sedonia and Edward Theodore, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Monday, July 18, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above-named parlor.
