IRENE ANNETTE PETERSON

Irene Annette “Reenie Cat” Peterson entered eternal rest on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the age of 58. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Westwego, LA. Irene was known for her unforgettable personality, her sharp wit, and a laugh could fill any room. She enjoyed cooking, and spending time with family. Irene was a faithful member of Evening Star Baptist Church. Devoted mother of Jerome Michael Wilson, Stanley Wilson, and Jermiah Peterson. Beloved daughter of Ruby Harris and the late George Peterson, III. Stepdaughter of Dorothy Peterson Jones. Granddaughter of the late Irene Peterson Washington, George Peterson, Sr. Clara Mae Anderson, and Robert Lee Jones. Sister of Ronald Peterson, George Peterson, IV, Marie Green, Lesia Marie Peterson, and the late Kermit Lee Peterson, also survived by 7 grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Evening Star Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Keith Paul Stewman officiating.
