IDELL BRIGNAC

Idell Hill Brignac, age 79, transitioned peacefully on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at West Jefferson Medical Center. She was a native of St. Joseph, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Idell was formerly employed as a Hospitality Worker and Head Start Cook. Beloved wife of Stafford Brignac. Devoted mother of Brittany Brignac (Renard Trufant), Frank Cypress (Yolanda Harris), and the late Travis Cypress. Stepmother of Sterling, Stafford, Jr., and Schwann Brignac. Loving grandmother of Bianca, Eric, Kohi, Terri, Jr., Tahj, Bailee, Bella, Raiden, Payton, Lauren, Zach, Kira, Jaiden, Travis, Jr., Travon, Tra’Viyan, Tra’yell, Jared, Jaren, Jalen, and Kynley. Beloved daughter of the late Cleandrew Hill, Sr and Ardell Hill. Sister of Bobby Carriere, Clarence Hill, Edgar Hill, Leon Hill, Archie Hill, and the late Cleandrew Hill, Jr., Irena Hill, James, Hill, Dewitt Hill, George Hill, Sr., and Helen Hill. Mother-in-law of Michelle Brignac, Kanettra Johnson, and Terri Fairman, Sr. Daughter-in-law of the late Evans Brignac and Hilda Harris. Sister-in-law of Jacquet Hill, Rita Hill, Lisa Hill, Alice Roussell, Elona Lumar, and the late Susie, Mary and Geraldine Hill, Clinton Carriere, Benoris, Wardell, and Steven Brignac. Idell is also survived by 4 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friend of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend Celebration of Life at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 1419 4th St., Westwego, LA on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Woodrow Hayden officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery-Edgard, LA.
