Elder Ida Louise Jones Domino, age 76, a dedicated servant of God and distinguished healthcare professional, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Chateau Living Center in Kenner, LA. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a lifelong resident of Marrero, LA. Ida was a 1967 graduate of Lincoln High School and pursued a decorated career in nursing and healthcare administration. She held a BSN from Holy Cross College and an MSN from Xavier University. Ida later became a licensed Chaplain and a doctoral candidate at the Pathway of Life School of Ministry. He career include service as Program Director at Charity Hospital School of Surgical Technology and River Parishes Community College. She also held leadership roles at West Jefferson Medical Center and Ochsner Home Health. Ida was a charter and faithful member of Greater Zionfield Family Worship Center and a proud member of the Gospel Music Workshop of America. Beloved wife of Elder Arthur Domino. Devoted mother of Charles Wilson Cheatam and Dr. Demetri D. (Dr. Ricky) Allmon. Loving grandmother of Richard Allmon III. Daughter of the late Rev. Paul Jones, Sr. and Geneva Reed Jones. Stepdaughter of the late Aline Briggs Jones. Also cherishing her memories are a host of loving stepchildren, siblings, in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Greater Zionfield Family Worship Center and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Rock of Ages Baptist Church, 6533 Acres Road, Marrero, LA on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Pastor T. A. Ranson, host pastor; Bishop Samuel Travis, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church.
