HERMAN ERNEST MARSHALL, SR.

Herman Ernest Marshall, Sr., age 92, entered peacefully into eternal rest at his residence on Sunday, February 19, 2023. He was a native of Thibodaux, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Herman served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean War. He received several commendations for his bravery, which included the Korean Service Medal and Bronze Service Medal, just to name a few. Herman was a retired employee of Pailet Industries, Inc., also known as Big Shot Bottling Company. He was an avid New Orleans Saints Fan, who cheered his team on regularly. Beloved husband of the late Enolia Helena Marshall. Devoted father of Herman Ernest (Bonnie) Marshall, Jr. and Rogers Anthony Marshall, Sr. of Denham Springs, LA. Loving grandfather Herman E. Marshall, III, Thurston Marshall, Kendrick Marshall, Lance Marshall, Rogers Marshall, Jr., Charles Watkins, III, Lynette Marshall, Quiana Andry, Monica Marshall Morris, and Tyisha Weldon. Son of the late Dave and Edna Lawrence Marshall. Brother of Edna Jackson, and the late Carrie Marshall, Mary Henderson, and Edward Marshall. Caring and dedicated friend of the late Meryold Mae Hamilton Sheffie. Also cherishing his memories are 36 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and close friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Second Zion Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Second Zion Baptist Church, 6520 Second Zion Avenue Marrero, LA on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Pastor James Nelson Brown, officiating.
