HARRY BUTLER, JR.

Harry Butler, Jr. entered eternal rest on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at the age of 76.

He was a native of Kenner, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Harry was a retired cab driver and skycap with the New Orleans Airport (MSY). Beloved husband of Ruby Simmons. Devoted father of Harry Butler, III and Kevin Thompson. Stepfather of Jerome (Tiffany) Simmons and Donald (Michelle) Simmons. Son of the late Harry Butler, Sr and Orelia Bartley Butler.  Brother of Roy Butler, and the late Charles Butler, Sr., Steve Butler, and Edward J. Batiste, also survived by 4 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of St. Michael Baptist Church, and neighboring churches are invited to the Celebration of Life at St. Michael Baptist Church, 315 James St. Kenner, LA on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. Interment: Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery-Slidell, LA, on Friday, March 11, 2022, at 9:00a.m. Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St., Gretna, LA.
