HARRISON KAYWOOD III

Harrison “Harry” Kaywood III, age 53, entered into eternal rest at the home of his cousins Sean and Michelle Gapser in Prairieville, LA on Thursday, September 11, 2025. He was a native of Algiers, LA and a resident of Darrow, LA. Harry was a 1990 graduate of O. Perry Walker High School and was member of the Louisiana National Guard 141st Field Artillery for 22 years. He was employed as an operator for with Zen-Noh Grain Corporation. He was a member of Christian Assembly Full Gospel Church. Harrison was president of Premier Men’s Bowling League and actively involved with several other bowling teams, including Snakes on A Lane, and Splits and Giggles, to just name a few. Beloved son of the late Harrison Kaywood, Jr. and Marva Lovely Kaywood. Grandson of the late Harrison Kaywood, Sr. and Marion Loames Kaywood, Emma Lovely Estes, and Marsha Robertson. Devoted brother of Chevis Kaywood. Bonus father of Jireh Webster and Jamir Baptiste. Uncle of Aubrey Kaywood, Michael, Sage, and Sean Gasper, Jalen and Amina Britton. Nephew of Eliska Kaywood Small, Barbara Pettis, Carolyn Taylor, Cheryl Washington, Karen Alexander, Gail and Diane Estes, Michael Small and Moses Pettis. Cousin/Sibling of Michelle Small (Sean) Gasper and Marion Pettis (Wallace) Britton. Godfather of Tevin Ussin, Zy Joseph and Michael Gasper. Also cherishing his memories are his close cousins Brenda Anderson, Tracey, (Gregory) Feast, Yvonne Patterson, Rev. Corey (Melissa) Watson, Loames and Kaywood Families, and a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at L. B. Landry High School Auditorium, 1200 L. B. Landry Avenue, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Corey Watson, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service at the auditorium. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA.
