GRAYLING DON WALKER, SR.

Grayling Don Walker, Sr. entered peacefully into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at the age of 58. He was a native of Marrero, LA and a resident of Waggaman, LA. Grayling was a 1980 graduate of West Jefferson High School. He continued his studies at Southern University at New Orleans, earning an Accounting Degree in 1987. While at Southern University he became a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity. Grayling was a retired accountant of the Jefferson Parish Workforce Connection. Beloved husband of Catrice Jordan Walker. Devoted father of Grayling Don Walker, Jr. and Shane Michael Walker. Stepfather of Christopher M. Smith II. Son of the late Nicholas Walker, Sr. and Mildred Turner Walker. Grandson of the late Edward and Betsy T. Walker, William and Cecelia Turner. Brother of Ray Walker, Kenneth (Evie) Walker, Aaron Walker, Helen Bazile, Sharon Walker, and the late Nicholas Jr. and Lawrence Walker and Mercedes Walker Jeffery. Son-in-law of the late Lula Jordan. Brother-in-law of Teisha (Donald) Francis, Cassandra Beaulieu, and Lynette (Keith) Jones. Godfather of Meshia Green, Frank Lee III, and the late Kelsey Carter and Raquel Innis. Grayling is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 1000 Walkertown Way Marrero, LA on Friday, February 5, 2021 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Thomas J. Brown, Jr., officiating  Viewing will be held from 8:30a.m.-9:50 a.m. ONLY at the above named church.  Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale.
