Gloria H. Mansion entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 28, 2022, at the age of 89. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Gloria was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, and she was employed as an educator, seamstress, and phone technician. Devoted wife of the late Henry A. Mansion, Jr. Devoted mother of Jerome G. Winder, Sr. Stepmother of the late Henry, III, Wesley, and Charlene Mansion. Grandmother of Jerome G. (Lorraine) Winder, II, Christian J. Winder, Cary and Leo (Shanett) Williams, Jr., Holly, Karen, Bonnie, Darlene, and Chris Mansion, Stacy, and Natasha Williams. Daughter of the late Jessie Hammond, Sr. and Louise Toups Hammond. Sister of Barbara Ann Cornielous, Betty Jean Rattler, and the late Florence Margie Selders, Mary Louise Hammond-Lonzo, Jessie Hammond, Jr., and Alvin Batiste, Sr. Aunt of the late Leandas and Ken Lonzo. Mother in law of Mary S. Winder and Brenda Mansion. Sister in law of Camille Hammond, Betty Williams of Rialto, CA. and Fredrick Lonzo, Sr. Godmother of Michelle Buckhalter, Cary Williams, Tina Marie Branch. Adoptive mother of Troylynn Hodges and her granddaughters and caregivers Dominique “Tammy” Thomas, and Tyra Mansion. Gloria is also survived by 23 great grandchildren, 22 great great grandchildren, 1 great great great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
