GENEVA PETTIS

Geneva Pettis departed this life at her residence on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at 7:00p.m. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Geneva was a graduate of Walter L. Cohen High School and Meadows Draughon Business College.  She was a retired employee with Eagan Insurance Company as an insurance policy underwriter. Daughter of the late Dan and Sarah Pettis. Sister of Debra P. Jones, and the late Isaiah Pettis, Annie Merle Price, Elizabeth Carter, and Jessie P. Young. Aunt of Darleen C. Williams, Denise F. Payton, Michelle Hughes, Mavis McCall, Paula McRae, Michael K. Ford, and Karl Carter, also survived by a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. The family would like to acknowledge West Jefferson Medical Center, Concern Home Health and Hospice, and Salome Scott. Relatives and Friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Pilgrim Progress Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Pilgrim Progress Baptist Church 3600 Loyola Ave. New Orleans, LA, on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Roy Williams officiating.
