Gayle Notocia Smith McCarty entered into eternal rest at her home surrounded by family and friends on Monday, March 14, 2022, at 7:10 PM, at the age of 54. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Loving wife and friend of Leslie “Mack” McCarty Sr. Loving mother of Ashley, Raymond (Trenica), Tiffany (Jarrett), and the late Corey Smith. Cherished grandmother of Mia, Nia, Layla, Amber, Riley, Cayden, Raymond, Jr., Corey, Romello, and Raymond Samuel. Darling daughter of Bobbie Smith (Carlos) Fleury, and the late Alfred Smith. Stepdaughter of the late Perry Alexcee. Granddaughter of the late Rev. W.H. Adams, Hattie B. Adams, and Mallie Weathersby. Sister of Perry (Angele) Alexcee, Kim (Melvin) Taylor, and the late Gerald “Mickey”, and Brian “Dankey” Smith. Niece of the late Alice Johnson, Idether Thompson, and John Thompson. Sister-in-law of Tarina Smith. Godmother of Real, Glenn, and Kayniah; also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
